Daniel, originally from Venezuela, has a background in performing arts and discovered yoga as a means to enhance his body-mind connection and recover from rigorous training in dance, gymnastics, and aerial arts. In 2011, he completed his first yoga teacher training and furthered his knowledge through various Pilates courses. In 2012, Daniel traveled to India, where he underwent a 500hr teacher training that profoundly transformed his perspective on yoga as a holistic well-being practice accessible to all. That same year, he relocated to Hong Kong with his family and, drawing upon his background as a circus artist, became one of the pioneering Aerial Yoga instructors in the city. With extensive teaching experience and expertise, he also mentors aspiring aerial yoga teachers, emphasizing attention to detail, safety, and practical sequencing.
Daniel's teaching style focuses on functional asana practice with a strong emphasis on proper alignment to cultivate body awareness, balance, and stability. He takes pleasure in assisting individuals in realizing their potential to overcome physical limitations through discipline and consistent practice, catering to beginners and those pursuing hand balancing alike. His classes seamlessly integrate his background in gymnastics, functional training, contemporary dance, yoga, and performing arts, presenting an accessible step-by-step approach.
Additionally, Daniel is an active performer in Hong Kong alongside his family troupe, "The Acrofamily," which has earned numerous accolades at the international level, including a double Champion of the World title in Acrobatic Dance and Variety Acts.
